PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route certificate distribution system in which another route authentication institution that a client device does not trust in, is made reliable without labor and time to acquire an inter-authentication certificate at a side of the client device.;SOLUTION: A first server device 120 generates and transmits to a client device a certificate chain composed of a series of certificates which are proved in a chain manner by a second inter-authentication certificate while including a first inter-authentication certificate signed by a private key which proves a second public key of a second route authentication institution that the client device does not trust in, and which is paired with a first public key of a first route authentication institution that a user of the client device trusts in, a second route certificate which proves the second public key, the second inter-authentication certificate signed by a private key that proves the first public key and is paired with the second public key, and a first server certificate proved on the basis of the first route certificate that proves the second public key.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
