PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise environment sensing method, a trial listening apparatus and an information storage medium, which enables sure evaluation of the noise environment in the form of containing the sensibility of an individual, by adding quantitative computation of a sidewall solid propagation sound to the sound insulating performance between adjoining rooms, and expressing the precise noise environment not by a numerical value, so as to be able to determine the performance of a building, in conformity with its real condition.;SOLUTION: The noise environment sensing method is as follows. A sound-source waveform (46) of an ambient noise is recorded beforehand, and an attenuation quantity (44) is subjected to prediction computation for each propagation path into a sound-receiving room. An impulse response waveform (45), found from this attenuation quantity, is subjected to convolution computation to the sound-source waveform (46), and an evaluation sound (48) is generated, and along with it, noise (51) in the next room is subjected to prediction computation (52), and an impulse response waveform (45) is computed, by constituting at least a door boundary wall direct propagation path, sidewall solid propagation paths and detour paths from openings to constitute a propagation path to the inside of the next room.
