PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure detecting apparatus which can quickly notify sudden air leakage or the like by providing to a transmitter a transmission interval changing means for reducing a transmission interval to a receiver when converted pressure from a pressure-converting means has become lower than a pressure threshold determined in advance, and as a result, by which convenience in a tire air pressure management by a driver can be increased.;SOLUTION: For the transmitter 53, a temperature sensor 64 which detects an air temperature in a tire, the pressure-converting means 66 which converts the tire air pressure detected by an air pressure sensor 55 into pressure at a specified temperature by the air temperature detected by the temperature sensor, and the transmission interval changing means 69 are provided.
