PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present chord component sounds in accordance with electronic musical instruments different by representable compasses.;SOLUTION: Compass designation information for designating a desired compass is acquired, and reference chord component sounds obtained by combining a plurality of sounds are shifted by octave until all sounds are included in the compass corresponding to the compass designation information, and respective sounds shifted by octave are presented as chord component sounds. That is, the reference chord component sounds generated in accordance with chord designation information for designating an arbitrary chord are shifted by octave until the sounds are included in the compass when compass designation information for designating a desired compass corresponding to a proper instrument is acquired. Consequently, chord component sounds corresponding to proper instruments capable of representing different compasses are presented by only acquiring compass designation information for designating the compasses, and thus it is unnecessary to individually prepare chord component sound presenting devices for respective instruments.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
