PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral oscillation method for a basket capable of spirally oscillating and moving this basket at a high acceleration without applying undue stresses on a driving mechanism. ;SOLUTION: The mouth part of the basket 11 is provided with plural stopper claws 12 and is gently clamped by clamping claws 10. Spiral oscillation motion is applied on the clamping claws 10 in the same manner as heretofore to rotate the basket 11. The stopper claws 12 are brought into collision against the ends of the clamping claws 10 by the inertia rotation of the basket 11 after the stop of the clamping claws 10, by which the basket is impulsively stopped. The work in the basket is largely moved by the impact of this time, by which the sufficient contact with a treating liquid is executed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
