PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transplanting cultivation of sweet potato seedlings solving the problem that, in transplanting the vines of sweet potato seedlings in a posture inclined relative to soil surface, although it is preferable to transplant the vines in such a condition that the leaves turn upward relative to the vines, the orientation of the leaves relative to the vines has not been considered so far.;SOLUTION: This method comprises transplanting the vines t of the sweet potato seedlings N in such a condition that the lower ends of the curved vines t turn upward in transplanting the vines t in a posture inclined relative to the soil surface D. The transplanter for sweet potato seedlings includes a seedling conveying section 5 for feeding to a planting feed position A the vines t of the sweet potato seedlings N in an inclined posture and in such a condition that the lower ends of the curved vines t turn upward, and a seedling planting element 6 functioning to nip the lower ends of the vines t at the position A with a pair of seedling planting clamp 31 vertically extending at the position A in such a condition as to be inclined to the upper end side of the inclined vines t and convey and plant the vines t into the soil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
