PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling face hydraulic pressure in slurry shield method, which can quickly respond to fluctuation in pressure without complicating a mechanism.;SOLUTION: There is provided a driving machine 10 comprised of a main body 14 and an excavating drum 16, and its chamber 12 is partitioned by a partition wall 18. A slurry feed pipe 20 communicates with an upper portion of the partition wall 18, and the other end of the slurry feed pipe 20 is connected to a slurry tank 24 via a slurry feed pump 22. Further, a slurry discharge pipe 26 communicates with a lower portion of the partition wall 18, and the other end of the slurry discharge pipe 26 is connected to a treatment plant set on the ground via a slurry discharge pump 28. The driving machine 10 is provided with a pressure regulating tank 30 which is set in a carrier following the driving machine 10 or in the driving machine main body 14, and communicates with the chamber 12. The pressure regulating tank 30 is comprised of first and second tanks 30a and 30b which each store therein water W at respective predetermined levels, and a damper tank 30c which stores therein only air.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
