PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fit a resin cylinder 7 containing short fibers in a mounting hole 3 having a smaller diameter than the outer diameter of the cylinder 7. PSOLUTION: The short fibers of the resin cylinder 7 are axially oriented in the cylinder 7. The cylinder 7 is passed through a die in which an inner diameter is gradually reduced from an inlet toward an outlet to reduce the outer diameter of the cylinder 7 to be engaged with the mounting hole 3, and the cylinder 7 is closely engaged with the hole 3 by its elastic restoring force.
