PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for implant which has communicating holes oriented to be suitable for the entering of a blood vessel or a cell and high strength. PSOLUTION: Slurry prepared by dispersing ceramic powder having particle size distribution controlled by pulverizing, granulating or the like a porous body raw material and an additive having a specific functional group in water is frozen from one direction. A dried porous body having the controlled voids is obtained by sublimating the frozen water under a reduced pressure. A hydroxyapatite type hexagonal columnar crystal grain is partially grown in a sintered body by a specific chemical species formed from the additive by heat treating the porous dried material under a specific condition.
