PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for straightening the weld zones of rims for a large and a middle types wheels suitable for automation and for straightening the weld zone to a radiused surface, by which making the rims complete round ness is easy and a finish by a grinder is not necessary to remove burrs on the weld zone. ;SOLUTION: This is a device coining the weld zone 13 of a rim 11 after tip bending and butt welding and straightening the weld zone 13 to a radiused surface, and it is composed of an inside die 15 having a radiused surface 14 and an outside die 17 having a radiused surface 16 and is movable relatively to the inside die 15. A part out of the inside die 15, by which the rim weld zone 13 is coined, has a radiused surface 14a, and is constituted of an inside die coin punch 15a whose hardness is harder than that of another part 15b of the inside die 15. A part out of the outside die 17, by which the rim weld zone 13 is coined, has a radiused surface 17a, and is constituted of an outside die coin punch 17a whose hardness is harder than that of another part 17b of the outside die 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
