External Job scheduling method and system in a distributed processing system having a local job control system

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for holding a local job control system(LJCS) simultaneously while applying an extended and automatic external job scheduling function to the local system. ;SOLUTION: This method is provided with a step for starting a marker job with a resource scheduler outside the LJCS, and the marker job contains a step for starting a user job with the LJCS in response to the start of the marker job corresponding to the user job to be executed by the LJCS and a step for ending the marker job started by the resource scheduler when the user job is ended, the start of the user job due to the IJCS responds to the start of the marker job due to the resource scheduler, and the end of the marker job responds to the end of the user job.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
