PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for purchase operations for accelerating the distributing and delivering operation of a purchase center. ;SOLUTION: A computer 4 of the purchase center 3 receives a request ordering an article from an orderer 1 through the Internet 15. When the article is out of stock, the computer 4 sends a delivery instruction for the article to a terminal 6 of a maker 5 being the supply source of the article through the Internet 16 together with item data (order number) and adds the item data to a database 12, and also inputs the same data as the distribution request data sent from the terminal 6 of the supply source to a terminal 8 of a distribution company 7 to the database 12. A slip number being delivery data sent from the terminal 8 of the distribution company 7 is inputted and added to the database 12; when an article item included in the item data stored in the database 12 is inputted and matches a delivery item included in the delivery data, delivery completion is recorded in the database and cost billing information is outputted to a terminal 2 of the orderer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
