PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current limiter which has high durability to thermal shock at current limiting operation. PSOLUTION: A superconductive current limiting element is reinforced by shunting a short circuit current to a bypass circuit composed of a conductive material stuck to the current limiting element at transition to the normal conductivity of a superconductive current limiter at the current application of the short circuit current, and thermally expanding the conductive material composed of a high-resistivity metal material together with the superconductive element, concerning a resistance type superconductive current limiter.
