PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To test fatigue strength for a ring of an endless metal belt used for a CVT. PSOLUTION: This fatigue testing instrument tests the fatigue strength for the ring of the endless metal belt. The fatigue testing instrument includes the first roller 1010 and the second roller 1020 wound with the ring of a fatigue testing object, and for imparting a prescribed tensile stress and bending stress to the ring to be rotated at a prescribed speed. The first roller 1010 and the second roller 1020 have groove parts 1030 simulated with a recess provided between a neck part of an element and a saddle face thereof, and a position of a fatigue start point in the fatigue test for a ring single body is conformed with a fatigue start position of the ring assembled in a continuously variable transmission, by the groove parts 1030.
