PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the fatigue strength testing time of a ring for an endless metal belt used for CVT. PSOLUTION: A fatigue-testing apparatus tests the fatigue strength of the ring for an endless metal belt. The fatigue testing apparatus includes a first roller 1010 and a second one 1020 that are wound by a ring, whose fatigue test is made and is rotated at a prescribed speed, by giving prescribed tensile stress and bending stress to the ring. The first roller 1010 and the second one 1020 have a roller end section 1030, that is a groove section which is larger than a recess provided between the neck section of an element and a saddle surface. Only one portion of the ring 104 is wound around the first roller 1010 and the second one 1020 by the end section 1030, tensile stress generated at the end section can be restrained, stress amplitude generated at the ring 104 can be increased, and the testing time of fatigue strength can be reduced.
