PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deform an actual number having a decimal part to a polynominal expression containing a root square.;SOLUTION: The decimal part of the actual number and the decimal part of the root square of a candidate value of a positive integer are calculated, and it is judged whether the difference between the two decimal parts satisfies a prescribed judgment condition or not, whereby the candidate value is determined. On the basis of the candidate value, the actual number is converted to a polynominal expression containing one root and displayed, whereby the actual number is converted to, for example, a+b√c (a and b are integers; c is a positive integer), and displayed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
