PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily tune in to a corresponding frequency only by speaking words and phrases that are common to a broadcasting station name. ;SOLUTION: When a voice recognizing device 106 recognizes a common word 'NHK', a tuning controlling means 7 checks the frequency of each broadcasting station which corresponds to the common word 'NHK' by referring to a table 6 and makes a tuner 5 tune in to each frequency stored in a preset memory 9 among extracted frequencies. When the frequencies in the memory 9 can not be received, the tuner 5 is made to tune in to frequencies that are not stored in the memory 9 among the extracted frequencies.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
