PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a position for starting reproduction of content in an ordinary reproduction mode to the position requested by a user when the user operates to switch the reproduction mode from a search reproduction mode to the ordinary reproduction mode. PSOLUTION: The system is equipped with a step for detecting that the reproduction mode is switched from the search reproduction mode to another reproduction mode by the user, a step for obtaining compensation time by multiplying estimated delay time and speed for the search reproduction, a step for obtaining an estimated starting time stamp by subtracting the compensation time from the time stamp of the content at the moment when the operation is executed, a step for inputting the time stamp of the requested position requested by the user, a step for compensating the estimated delay time based on the estimated starting time stamp, the requested position time stamp and the speed for the search reproduction.
