PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable long life bearing for CO₂ refrigerant compressor using a bearing material with a high wear resistance and a high seizure resistance, a compressor, an air conditioner, a refrigerator, and a water heater using the bearing.;SOLUTION: In this bearing for compressor using CO₂ refrigerant and the compressor, air conditioner, and refrigerator using the bearing, the bearing is formed of a member provided by immersing one type of metal selected from IB group, VIII group excluding Fe, and Sn or an alloy formed mainly of these metals into the pores of a carbon base material including 20 to 50 wt.% graphite and formed of the carbon base material including 20 to 50 wt.% graphite. At least one of such requirements that the member must have a Shore hardness of 65 to 120, the compressive strength of the member must be 200 to 500 MPa, the porosity of the member must be 0.05 to 2 vol.%, and the metal or alloy of the member must contain at least one of V and Ti of 0.2 wt.% or less must be satisfied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
