A pixel position acquiring method includes displaying a first line image having a plurality of straight lines extending along a vertical direction of the image generating device and a second line image having a plurality of straight lines extending along a horizontal direction of the image generating device, capturing a display image based on the first and second line image and acquiring first or second image-capturing data, cutting a plurality of image-capturing lines mapped on the first and second image-capturing data per a region including each image-capturing line, setting an approximate function expressing each image-capturing line in the first and second image-capturing data on the basis of the region of each cut image-capturing line, and calculating, on the basis of the approximate functions, an association between the pixel position of the image generating device and the position where the pixel position is mapped on the image-capturing data.
