The present invention relates to a novel use of thymosin β10 protein for anti-angiogenesis, anti-tumor progression, and anti-metastasis by targeting a Ras signaling pathway. Particularly, thymosin β10 protein reduces the generation of a Ras-GTP/Raf complex by sequestering Ras-GTP or by interfering with the binding of Ras-GTP to Raf through a direct interaction with Ras, resulting in the inhibition of autocrine and paracrine production of VEGF. Therefore, thymosin β10 protein of the present invention can be effectively used to treat disease conditions associated with angiogenesis, tumor progression, and/or metastasis, particularly those caused by the activation of the Ras signaling pathway, such as solid tumors, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and diabetic retinopathy.
