The present invention relates to a method for preparing a polyurethane foam, which comprises reacting an organic polyisocyanate and a polyol in the presence of water as a blowing agent, a cell stabilizer, and an acid-blocked tertiary amino alkyl amide catalyst composition. The catalyst composition is represented by the formula I:; wherein R¹, R², R³, R⁴, R⁵, R⁶, A, and n are as defined herein and wherein the tertiary amino alkyl amide catalyst of formula I is acid-blocked.
