The buffet stand is fo ruse at receptions, principally by guests, with tiered facility for dispensation of canapes and similar. The stand (1) comprises a lower frame (2), on which is mounted a lower plate (3) for accommodation of a first plate preferably accommodating cold snacks. The under frame can be hidden behind a sheet. Centrally above the lower plate is a second plate (4), forming a second level for snack presentation. Likewise, a third plate (5) forms a third level. The plates are positioned above each other with the aid of tubular distance holders (6), of which there are always four between each level. The holders are fixed by nuts (two) (8,9) and bolts (7). The bolts extend between two tubular components and crossways through the plates. This version is easy to assemble with components generally available in the trade.
