The process is for the production of bricks with holes and uses an open mould (1) with shape of brick (2) to be formed, the base (4) of which has two cones (6) at least for hole formation in the brick. Soft clay is introduced into the mould. By pressure, the clay is formed into the shape of the brick, which is then removed for the final brick formation. The cones with their bases (7) rest on the bottom (6) of the mould. The formed clay is removed from the mould by turning the latter. After the clay is inserted in the mould it is subjected to mechanical pressure. The mould is open on one side (5). The cones are fixed to the base of the mould.
