The rod has a central tube (2) made of reinforced fibers e.g. carbon fiber, impregnated with a hard synthetic resin and assembled to nozzles (3, 4) made of a metallic material e.g. steel. The fibers have a density lower than that of the metallic material. Each nozzle has a fixation unit (5) for fixing the rod to bodies to which the rod transmits movements or from which the rod receives movements. The unit(5) allows fixation. A male type end of the nozzle (3) is pushed inside a female type corresponding end of the tube. The male end is terminated, in direction of the unit (5), by a shoulder. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a nozzle for forming a part of a composite rod (2) a central tube for forming a part of a composite rod.
