The preparation process of polyurethane foam reinforced with coconut fiber and related products were prepared containing the plant material - coconut fibres - which is an industrial waste and urban.The process of obtaining does not affect the cellular structure of the foam without load, improving the resistance to compression of the same, which is useful for its applications in the automotive industry, furniture, construction and packaging, among others. The content of the plant material of the foam from also acting as a flame retardant in comparison with the virgin material.The process employs coconut fibres in the range of 1 to 50% by mass of limiting polyol chemically modified, processed mechanically and selected. The foam additive with coconut fiber is obtained by using a diphenylmethane diisocyanate, preferably dilsocianto (MDJ) with an index of isocyanate and polyol having a controlled, as blowing agent and water.
