The present invention relates to a sound box (1) of an electric acoustic stringed musical instrument comprising a robust resonance unit and at least one hollow resonance unit. Said robust resonance unit consists of a base plate (2) and hollow resonance unit consists of at least one tone chamber (3). Said at least one tone chamber (3) is defined by both an inner surface of at least one sounding board (4, 5) and inner walls of at least one opening (7) and/or at least one cut-out and/or at least one recess (9) performed in the base plate (2) or by inner surface of at least one sounding board (4, 5), inner surface of a thin strip of wood and inner walls of the general formula at least one opening (7) and/or at least one cut-out and/or at least one recess (9), performed in the base plate (2). At point of mutual contact of at least one sounding board (4, 5) and the base plate (2) the peripheral edge (10) of the inner surface of at least one sounding board (4, 5) is nearer to the opposite side of the sound box (1) if compared with the peripheral edge (11, 13) of the opening (7) and/or the cut-out and/or the recess (9). Alternatively, a block is located inside said at least one tone chamber (3) that can form a part of the base plate (2). According to other embodiments, a recess performed in the base plate (2) can be located opposite to the peripheral edge (10) of the sounding board (4, 5) inner surface or a profile (16) can be arranged inside the tone chamber (3), preferably in a groove (17), or a recess (15) can be made opposite to the peripheral edge (13) in the sounding board (4).
