The present invention relates to an edging element (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) intended for edging a lawn comprising a profiled panel (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2f) manufactured from chromium steel and disposed to be driven into ground or an underlying surface (8) without opening thereof. Upper profiled edge (4) has the U-shaped profile open toward a first lower edge (5), and the panel has corrugations (3) extending parallel to both said upper profiled edge (4) and the first lower edge (5), whereby the upper profiled edge (4) is provided on one side of the edging element (1e,1f) and in a portion of its length with a cutout (19, 47). The edging element (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) according to the present invention can be preferably stabilized by means of posts (11) and/or anchors (12) and it can be also formed in various types. By connecting several edging elements, for example by means of a forked fastener (18), it is possible to make a system for continuous edging of a lawn, preferably provided with a springing rotary connection of the individual edging elements by means of a holder or a foot (38) or a drive-in aid (29, 35).
