The nestbox for a mink byre is composed of prefabricated wall components which in at least the upper side and base of the byre and nestbox are composed of wire netting. On the side of the nestbox facing the interior of the byre is a moulded wall component, which along its edges is connected with connecting devices in the form of groove passages and clips, which are used for connecting the wall component with other such components in the byre. The wall component is provided with a built-in drinking valve on the side facing inwards towards the nestbox. It comprises a valve housing, which is an integrated part of the wall component. Under the drinking valve is an outflow tube running to the rear side of the wall component so that spilt water is conducted away from the nestbox. The wall component has an access hole to the nestbox, a support rib for the nestbox net base and hinges for a closable lid over the nestbox. Hinges are also provided for byre front covers. All components are produced from injection-moulded polypropylene.
