The present invention comprises a process enabling simultaneous detection of two transgenes using a Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction (MPCR), particularly the detection of 5-enolpyruvy]shikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) gene (which imparts resistance against herbicide glyphosate) and cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) 35S promoter gene in transgenic soybean for herbicide tolerance. The invention can be successfully employed in rapid and simultaneous detection of these two transgenes in transgenic soybean with high reproducibility and sensitivity.
