摘要

The present invention relates to an herbal extract of Momordica dioica Roxb and its methanolic fraction for hepatoprotective activity. The hepatotoxicity was induced by CCI4. Ethanolic extraction of the fruit of Momordica dioica Roxb and its column chromatography was done to get methanolic fraction and the hepatoprotective activity was accessed by monitoring blood serum level of SGOT, SGPT, ALP and Bilirubin.
