A TAMPER-PROOF LOCKING SYSTEM FOR SECURELY FIXING FISH PLATES ON RAILWAY LINES, DEVICE FOR RELEASING THE LOCKING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LOCKING AND RELEASING THE SAME

Accidents due to loosening or tampering of the fish-plates on railway lines are avoided by the present invention which provides a locking-system comprising (1) an attachment (1) for holding nut locking device,which is a metal plate with a plurality of holes (3) to allow bolts of railway fish-plates to pass through the said holes for slide fit and to be secured in place with nuts/washers,the said attachment being provided with projections at regular intervals and (ii)a nut locking cap(8) with a plurality of holes /provided in such a way that it is capable of being fitted flush onto the nut heads of railway fish-plates and protrusions of attachment. This invention also relates to a device for releasing the above locking system which is a pulling jack (9) provided with a threaded bolt (11)at the centre and carrying four other smaller bolts (10). the subject invention also provides a method of producing tamper-proof locking on railway fish-plates and a method of releasing the said locking system.
