Dispensing holders of coins available in the market are mostly for coins of single denomination and configuration and work by means of spring action, operated by fingers. Such devices are not suitable for using with coins of different denominations and configurations, as is the case with India. Moreover, these devices are expensive and need careful handling for enhanced spring life. This invention aims at overcoming the above disadvantages and provides a holder-cum-dispenser of coins of same or different denominations, characterized in that the said dispenser (1) has slots or recesses (2,3) for holding coins of definite denominations and a lower curved portion (4) which enables the dispenser to be placed in a slanted manner affording the operator/user a better view of the contents, and wherein (5) is the lower surface of the said slot or recess, (6) is the wider side of the top surface of the dispenser (1) giving the same staggered configuration and (7) is the side wall of the dispenser,
