In order to reduce the costs of manufacture and inspection, the absorption unit and the returning unit are integrated into one body, any special material is not used, and the structure desirably does not include a complex internal structure or precise components. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A position returning device is provided with rolls (3, 4) for absorbing the horizontal force acting on a structure are provided between the foundation (1) and the structure (8), a shake is thereby absorbed as the rolling motion of the rolls, roll receivers (2, 6), as a returning un it, supporting the rolls (3, 4) have a concave shape, and the action of the rolls naturally returning to the center of the roll receivers by thee gravity is utilized.
