An optical head controller (304) senses defect area of a disk and outputs a defect signal. The error correction code (ECC) encoder (330) compares the error frequency of occurrence counted by error counter and critical value. The data recording unit re-records the data of a defect area on the another area of a disk, when the error frequency of occurrence exceeds a critical value. An independent claim is also included for optical disk recording method.
