The columbarium (1) is circular and has at least one niche wall (2) which on at least one side has niches (3) for urns and/or ash containers after cremation. At least one niche wall forms at least one part of an outer wall of a building and the at least one side forms an inner wall of the building. A prefabricated structure is used for the formation of the columbarium. A cover is provided for the building, forms its roof (4,6). The niche wall is made of concrete or plastic and the niches are formed in the wall in an equal mode. The niches are rectangular and have a height and width in the range of 30 to 70 cm. A door opening (7) provides access to the interior of the columbarium.
