The beater (2) is suspended from a flexible air supply hose (1) which enters into an air chamber (3) inside the beater, the chamber containing a sliding valve (4), which in turn contains air channels (5). These channels are connected with the hose supplying compressed air and exit on opposite sides of the beater. When the beater hits the silo wall the valve is made to move in the same direction as the beater, interrupting the flow of air in the opposite direction. The flow of air on the side next to the nearest silo wall escapes, causing the beater to be moved in the direction of the opposite silo wall so that it hits the latter, repeating the previously described effect.
