The machine is attached behind a tractor and straddles a vine row. It consists of a chassis composed of two parts hinged to each other. One part is at right angles to the tractor, and during transport the second part which is hinged on it folds back. In work the second part is pivoted through 90 deg. and takes up a position parallel to the machine centre line, and is composed of a passage in which are located two frames supporting housings which enclose beaters. The latter are inclined to and revolve about vertical axes, and have tangential arms which remove the grapes which fall onto an inclined floor. Between the latter and a transport auger is a space for the vine stems which is covered by two lips made of a flexible material.
