The circuit has sensor connected to or into the wires leading to the drive motor (WA1) of a points drive which can be controlled and monitored. When the motor starts to turn at least one other motor (WA2) in the group is started in the same direction, whereby this motor is supplied from a different power input. The controller for this drive than switches in at least one other controller for another drive (WA3) , and so on until all drives are switched on. The supply current to the first drive is also fed via the drive contacts to detect the current drive position and at least indirectly via corresp. position contacts and end position check contacts. A monitoring circuit watch device interrupts the first drive motor control circuit and hence switches the controllers to the no current state.
