According to the invention, the equipment comprises a step down transformer (TCT) connected to the medium or high voltage network, supplying a three-phase rectifier (RT) furnishing a direct current voltage supply, a threephase inverter (IJT), at the output of which a LC-type low-pass filter (FTJ) is connected in series with a step up transformer (TRC) in the secondary of which a selector (S1) is connected, said selector allowing the alternative connection of medium voltage asynchronous motors (M1, M2...Mn).
