The invention relates to a process for manufacturing lightweight cellular-expanded concrete masonry blocks, the use of Ceton-type lightweight cellular-expanded concrete being included. The lightweight cellular-expanded concrete has the following composition (in mass units) : 100 parts cement of type I 42.5 R or having characteristics similar to that; 80 ... 250 parts of power plant ash; 0.5 ... 6 parts of surface active agent (AAS);1 ....4 parts of setting accelerator (Al). There are used as AAS: ethoxylated nonylphenol having 6 ... 40 moles of ethyleneoxide; maleic monoester or sulphosuccinic monoester, also derived from ethoxylated nonylphenol having 6 ... 40 moles of ethyeleneoxide; horny products (hair, horns, hoofs) hydrolized with sodium hydroxide. There are used as setting accelerator (Al): calcium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium sulphate or magnesium sulphate. According to the invention, the process consists in casting the lightweight cellular-expanded concrete of Ceton-type, onto the pallets, in overlapped layers, cut in verticale plane to usual sizes of masonry blocks, thus forming blocks piles or layers of about 1 m3, where they remain continuing their hardening until delivery, the manipulation and transportation are made with piles on pallets. The storage in pallets prevents water evaporation from the material, thus ensuring good conditions for hydration thereof and increasing the mechanical resistance.
