DUAL-PROBE FOR NEUTRON LOGGING IN CASED AND UNCASED WELLS WHEN EXPLORING OIL AND GAS COLLECTORS

摘要

The proposed dual-probe for neutron logging in cased and uncased wells when exploring oil and gas collectors contains a stationary fast neutrons source, two slow neutrons counters, which are arranged at different distances from the neutrons source, screens installed between the neutrons source and counters, and neutron-absorbing screens, which partially enclose the counters. The screens are made of material, such as aluminium, that weakly decelerates, strongly dissipates, and weakly absorbs neutrons.
