The proposed method for diagnosing the clinical form of the first detected pulmonary tuberculosis is distinctive by determining the concentration of nitrates in the patient's peripheral blood. Depending on the nitrate concentration, the presence of a focal or infiltrative form of tuberculosis with the injury of no more that two lung segments, disseminated form, or infiltrative form with the injury of more than two lung segments.
