The proposed method for the differential diagnostics for detecting neurotic and neurosis-like disorders consists in carrying out the laboratory analysis of the patient's blood sample in order to determine the rate of transfer of sodium and lithium ions, with the incubation of erythrocytes in medium that contains transfer inhibitors - ovabaine and furosemidum. Neurosis-like schizophrenia is diagnosed if the transfer rate is 0.69 ... 0.75 mmol of Na+ per 1 l of cell suspension within an hour. Neurotic disorder and neurotic depression is diagnosed if the transfer rate is 0.57 ... 0.62 mmol of Na+per 1 l of cell suspension within an hour.
