TRANSPLANTING METHOD OF GROWING SEED OF SUGAR BEET HYBRIDS CREATED ON BASIS OF CYTOPLASMIC MALE STERILITY

A transplanting method to grow the seed of sugar beet hybrids, formed on the basis of the cytoplasmic male sterility includes a separate close sowing of the crossing components of a hybrid in a zone of guaranteed wintering of beets with the optimum sowing rate and interrow width in the first year. In the second year in early spring (the first decade of March) the roots are dug, selected, the leafstalks are cut up to 2-3 cm, the root system is cut slightly up to 10 cm, separate transplanting of the roots of the crossing components onto a prepared plot in a zone of non-guaranteed wintering of beets is carried out ensuring observing the agrotechnical measures. The sowing of the crossing components is carried out in the third decade of August with a seed sowing rate of 20-25 seeds/m (4-4.5 s.u./ha) and an interrow of 45 cm in width. In the second year the leaf apparatus is mown simultaneously and the roots are dug and those with a weight of 5-10, 11-20 and 21-50 g are selected, separate planting of the crossing components is carried out in a ratio of 5:1 in the area of growing the crossing components on the basis of 3-5 roots per 1 m of a row with a growing space of 70x30 (25) (20) cm and a density of seed plants prior to harvesting of 30-57 thousand/ha. After planting of the roots rolling and irrigating are carried out on the basis of 200-250 m3/ha.
