PROCESS FOR PREDICTING INSULIN-DEPENDENT DIABETES IN CHILDREN WITH INHERITED PREDISPOSITION TO THE DISEASE

The proposed process for predicting insulin-dependent diabetes in children with inherited predisposition to the disease implies the analysis of the patient's blood for determining immunological indicators. The method consists in determining the content of autoantibodies (GADA, IA-2A, IAA) associatedwith diabetes, the content of thymulin in the blood serum that characterizes the endocrine function of the thymus, and the cytotoxic activity of natural destructive cells in the blood. The risk of diabetes is predicted if the content of no less than two types of natural destructive cells is increased and the content of thymulin is decreased.
