The proposed method for integrated estimation of the state of the oxidation of surface water near a chemical plant by plants of Lemna minor L. duckweed consists in placing the plants in test ponds, determining the growth indicators of the plants by weighing the plants, determining the change of the hydrogen ion exponent and the change or the growth and color of the plant roots, accomplishing the spectrophotometric analysis for determining the content of chlorophyll and carotinoids and the activity of reactions in chloroplasts by the rate of the reduction of the electron acceptor, and using the scale of the phase response of duckweed to the change of conditions for its vital activity.
