METHOD FOR ENDOPROSTHESIS REPLACEMENT OF EXTENSIVE DEFECTS OF UPPER END OF HUMERUS AFTER RESECTION OF MALIGNANT TUMOR

摘要

The method for endoprosthesis replacement of the extensive defects of the upper end of humerus after resection of the malignant tumor comprises the resection of the tumor with the adjacent intact tissues and the replacement of the defect by endoprosthesis. The head of endoprosthesis is fixed to acromion with the aid of xenoband. The stem of endoprosthesis is fixed in the canal of the distal fragment of humerus using the bone cement. Endoprosthesis is made of methyl methacrylate and carbon-carbon composite material.
