METHOD FOR ASSESSMENT OF ANTIOXIDANT EFFECTS IN TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION WITH CORVITIN

The method for the assessment of antioxidant effects in the treatment of the patients with the acute myocardial infarction with Corvitin comprises thecomparison of blood samples taken prior to and after the treatment. Prior to the treatment, 3 ml of blood is taken from the ulnar vein at rest. The activity of superoxide dismutase is assayed using adrenochrome technique. The data are recorded at 480 nm. Then the activity of superoxide dismutase is assayed in the sample of blood taken after the treatment under the same conditions. The increase in superoxide dismutase activity by at least 20% is indicative of the positive antioxidant effect of Corvitin.
