The proposed method for suppressing a tropical cyclone (hurricane) consists in creating, for the purpose to reduce the energy of the cyclone, within the central zone of the cyclone, descending flows of atmospheric air are created that move along concentric circumferential paths at a distance of 10 - 15 km from the center of the of the cyclone and from each other, at a distance of 5 -10 km from the flows at the same path. To suppress the energy of the cyclone at the stage of its initiation, the central zone of the cyclone is bombard by vacuum bombs, which are dropped from an airship or another similar aircraft in order to affect the ascending air flows. The radius of the circle, the center ofwhich coincides with the center of the cyclone, in the zone of the bombardment must be no less than 10 km. The bombardment results in creating vacuum an the central zone of the cyclone, and this zone is filled with descending atmospheric aid from above and with ascending air from below. The motional energy of the air flows reduces when the air flows meet, and the air density and pressure at the central zone of the cyclone increase. The increase of the air pressure at the central zone results in the creation of lower and upper air flows that suppress the cyclone due to the redaction of the pressure difference at the central and peripheral points of the cyclone.
